The Lyle Thompson Documentary Film

The IndigiStudios documentary on famed Indigenous athlete, Lyle Thompson, has officially commenced principal photography in New York, embarking on a journey to capture the essence of one of lacrosse's most iconic figures. The film will be directed by Gary “Litefoot” Davis and focus on the cultural and familial ties that have shaped the person Lyle has become today. Production will travel to a variety of meaningful locations in the state of New York, including Auburn, Syracuse, Albany, and notably, the Onondaga and Mohawk reservations. These areas hold significant value in Lyle's life and career, offering authentic backdrops to his story. Filming will also take place in Georgia and in Ontario, Canada.

This documentary, capturing the life of Lyle Thompson beyond his athletic achievements, aims to delve deep into his roots and Indigenous worldview. The documentary promises to provide an intimate and immersive experience into Lyle's world, highlighting his journey from a local sports hero to an international lacrosse icon.
